Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an organised and customer-focused Assistant Facilities Manager to oversee the delivery of integrated facilities services at a key client location in Birmingham. This full-time role offers Monday to Friday hours 08:30 to 17:00 and a salary of £35,000 per year along with Sodexo employee benefits.

You will lead catering, hospitality, cleaning and wider facilities services, coordinating teams and contractors while ensuring safety, compliance and high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or workplace services.
• Experience coordinating multiple service lines and leading teams.
• Knowledge of catering, hospitality and cleaning services.
• Experience monitoring KPIs and customer expectations.
• Understanding of health and safety, risk management and compliance.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder skills.
• Experience managing staffing, rotas, attendance and colleague performance.
• Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers and specialist service providers.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with reporting systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of catering, hospitality, cleaning and facilities services across the site.
• Lead and support local service teams, driving engagement, performance and development.
• Ensure services meet contractual standards, KPIs and customer expectations.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and respond promptly to service requests.
• Conduct inspections, audits and quality checks to maintain high standards.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and specialist support services.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Manage delegated budgets, labour, consumables and operational resources.
• Support audits, incident management and business continuity arrangements.
• Drive service improvements and sustainable working practices.
