Job summary

Equans Group is seeking a General Maintenance Operative to be based at Southwark Crown Court under the HMCTS contract. This permanent full-time position offers 40 hours per week and a competitive salary with benefits.

Responsibilities include fabric maintenance, LV and safety tasks, and coordination with the client and subcontractors. A strong focus on safety, quality, and timely completion of tasks is required, along with compliance with company procedures and CAFM systems.

Qualifications

• NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing, Carpentry or Decorating services.
• Demonstrable experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing or flooring in construction/maintenance.
• Knowledge of Legionella control techniques e.g. tap flushing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on fabric and limited engineering assets.
• Inspect/repair floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, doors and windows.
• Perform Legionella duties including tap temperatures and flushing.
• Carry out painting, redecorating and signage tasks.
• Support and supervise subcontractors; coordinate with facilities team.
• Ensure safety and compliance with Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
