Job summary

Baker Hicks Limited is seeking an experienced contract Quantity Surveyor to join our on-site team in Ayrshire, Scotland. You will support the commercial delivery of multiple work packages with a focus on electrical installation works, playing a vital role in our collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, proactive, and have strong experience in procurement within the construction industry, with good knowledge of UK contract forms. Join us to work on meaningful projects in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Commercially astute with a proactive approach in a project environment.
• Good knowledge of UK procurement/finance legislation requirements.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead commercial activities across project lifecycle.
• Manage subcontractor packages from contract award through to final account.
• Prepare and submit accurate applications for payment.
• Oversee cash flow, forecasting and cost reporting.

Skills

Strong experience as a procurement/contracts manager

Knowledge of UK contract forms (IChemE, JCT, NEC4)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Experience in EPCM environment
