Job summary

Arden University is seeking an experienced Associate Lecturer to support delivery of courses on a flexible, as-needed basis. Work includes blended and distance learning environments, and can be offered on a semester or task-and-finish basis.

You will deliver engaging teaching, assess students, supervise projects, and develop content, with opportunities across BL and DL modalities. This role is on-site at the Manchester campus and requires a recognised teaching qualification.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised teaching qualification.
• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience teaching and assessing students in UK higher education.
• Experience delivering student-centred teaching; for DL roles, distance learning experience.
• Up-to-date industry experience.
• Fellowship of Advance HE or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom-based sessions and online engagement for BL (Blended Learning).
• Lead online sessions via Zoom for DL (Distance Learning) and manage forums.
• Participate in marking, standardisation, and meet deadlines.
• Provide supervision for student projects and dissertations.
• Develop or revise engaging lecture and learning content.
• Attend meetings, peer reviews, and staff development activities.
