Job summary

Arden University is seeking skilled Associate Lecturers to deliver courses on a flexible, as-needed basis in Blended Learning and Distance Learning environments. Work is offered on both a semester basis or task-and-finish basis, with on-site work from the Birmingham campus.

You will need a recognised teaching qualification, a degree in a relevant discipline, and experience teaching in UK higher education, including distance learning. This role includes rolled up holiday pay and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a teaching qualification.
• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience teaching and assessing students within the UK higher education sector.
• Experience delivering student-centred teaching and, for DL roles, distance learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching for Blended Learning sessions and online DL environments.
• Lead and participate in marking, standardisation exercises and feedback.
• Provide supervision for student projects and dissertations.
• Develop or revise engaging lecture content with copyright compliance.
• Attend meetings and engage in staff development to maintain teaching quality.
