Job summary

Cranleigh Scientific Ltd in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join its on-site metrology team. You will develop and run CMM programmes, improve inspection processes and support projects throughout product development and manufacturing.

The role involves programming with PC-DMIS and MODUS (Hexagon/Renishaw), interpreting drawings and GD&T, and collaborating with Metrology, Engineering and Operations to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming CMMs with PC-DMIS and MODUS.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience in high-accuracy engineering/inspection environments.
• Strong attention to detail and robust metrology processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, programme and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS and MODUS.
• Develop and improve CMM inspection methods for accuracy and efficiency.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to set measurement strategies.
• Review drawings for measurability and provide feedback to engineering.
• Support projects with dimensional inspection throughout development and manufacture.
• Maintain inspection records and traceability.
• Support calibration and control of inspection equipment.
• Use additional metrology equipment as required.
• Share knowledge across the Metrology team.
