Job summary

Randstad Construction & Property in Somerset seeks a Quality Engineer (Civils/Reinforced Concrete) for a long-term freelance assignment. You will ensure civil works comply with QC1 and client specs, performing on-site inspections and validating documentation.

You will review procedures, witness tests, and manage Lifetime Records (LTRs) to enable a smooth handover, attending key meetings to align the quality function with site activities.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting civil engineering works on major infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and Detailed Designs.
• Valid CSCS card and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Review and accept procedures and documentation per QC1 requirements.
• Conduct on-site QC inspections following ITPs.
• Review Lifetime Records (LTRs) for project handover.
• Witness critical tests and perform on-site inspections against Detailed Designs.
• Participate in project meetings representing the Quality function.
