Job summary

McCarthy Stone’s Eleanor House in St Albans is seeking a Part-time Care Assistant to provide dedicated on-site support for residents. The role offers shifts 8am–2pm and 2pm–10pm, with enhanced pay for evenings and weekends, at £14.12–£15.42 per hour.

Training is funded to Level 2/3 in Adult Care, plus 28 days holiday and a company pension. Applicants should have 1+ year in UK health and social care if possible, and be within commuting distance of the development.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK health and social care is preferred (1+ year).
• Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a plus but not essential.
• UK-based applicants only; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Supporting residents with daily domestic tasks like appointments, light cleaning, laundry and shopping
• Assisting with social activities and wellbeing routines
• Promoting independence, dignity, and community engagement
• Supporting with individual care packages, including with personal care.
