Job summary

GBS invites applications for a Security Officer to be the face of safety on campus at our Manchester site. You will monitor premises, assist staff and visitors, and respond to incidents while delivering friendly, professional customer service during campus opening hours.

You must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence, be able to engage with diverse people, and work across campus locations with flexibility. DBS is required; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• SIA Door Supervisor licence is required.
• SIA CCTV licence is desirable.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Experience in campus or facilities security is preferred.
• Able to interact effectively with staff, students, visitors and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Campus security and surveillance across the site.
• Visitor and delivery management and access control.
• Conduct security checks and maintain logs/reports.
• Manage incidents and escalate as needed.
• Provide friendly assistance and customer service on site.
• Fulfil compliance and ad-hoc security tasks.
