SeAH Wind seeks an Electrical Engineer (Automation/PLC) to join the Middlesbrough site maintenance team. You will own automation systems, diagnose PLC faults, and support new line commissioning, driving safety, reliability and efficiency across production equipment.
The role demands hands-on experience with electrical controls, servo drives and HMI programming, plus strong analytical and communication skills under pressure. On-site role in Middlesbrough with cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- Minimum BTEC or HNC in Electrical/Automation Engineering; degree advantageous.
- Proven PLC programming and troubleshooting in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation and production line integration.
- Hands-on experience with control panels, cabling, servo drives and fault-finding.
- Knowledge of electrical schematics, safety standards and machinery regulations.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills under pressure.
Responsabilités
- Serve as site SME for electrical automation, controls and machine integration.
- Diagnose and resolve PLC/electrical faults on automated equipment.
- Optimise machine performance and support commissioning of new lines.
- Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs to improve safety and reliability.
- Lead control system improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Engineering and suppliers.
