Job summary

Wave Waterpark is seeking a motivated relief Duty Manager to support Centre operations. You will supervise on-duty staff, manage rotas and bookings, and assist the Centre Manager with budgets and promotions while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires DBS clearance and relevant qualifications such as NPLQ or First Aid at Work, with early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays included. CV Life supports safeguarding and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience in day-to-day operations of a customer-facing leisure venue.
• DBS clearance required.
• NPLQ or equivalent and First Aid at Work qualifications required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the Centre on duty.
• Arrange staff ratios, responsibilities and observations.
• Programme and prepare centre activities, bookings and events.
• Assist with budgetary and cash handling procedures.
• Ensure high standards of customer care and handle enquiries/complaints.
• Coach and develop staff, monitor performance and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the Centre and site.
• Act as Centre key holder and be on call for emergencies.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance and site inspections.
• Promote CV Life activities and assist with promotional work.
• Attend meetings and lead in the Deputy/Centre Manager's absence.
• Support HR tasks such as recruitment and absence management.
