Job summary

Capability Scotland is seeking a Relief/Bank Assistant Maintenance Officer to support residents and staff. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across our estate, with driving duties and manual handling as part of the responsibilities.

The position is relief/bank with 0 hours and pays £12.71 per hour. Location is Isla Road, Perth, PA2 7HQ, with benefits including 32 days holidays pro-rata and an 8% pension contribution.

Qualifications

• Excellent communications skills with a passion for helping disabled people live full and inclusive lives.
• Experience in building services or engineering including basic electrical, plumbing & joinery within commercial, social care or domestic settings.
• Problem solving skills, with understanding of fire safety, health & safety, chemical handling and equipment storage and care.
• IT literacy/experience using the Microsoft suite of programs.

Responsibilities

• Support residents, staff, and Facilities Manager to deliver a comfortable, safe, and stimulating environment.
• Ensure the smooth running of the facility by planned and reactive maintenance.
• Participate in driving and assisting service users outside the service.
