Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in London is seeking an Electrical Bias Engineer to install and maintain plant and equipment, ensuring rapid fault rectification in critical environments such as data centres.

You will respond to breakdowns, manage UPS and power distribution, perform risk assessments, and work beyond contractual hours to maintain service levels. Strong H&S awareness and BMS experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
• Experience with building management systems and fault finding
• Experience with VAV/FCU HVAC and chilled water systems
• Understanding of HVAC systems and CDM process
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Health & Safety qualified (IOSH/NEBOSH)
• Experience of testing and inspection of electrical systems

Responsibilities

• React to breakdown maintenance requests within the required SLA’s
• Technical awareness of computer room/call centre/trader operations and experience of power, UPS, CPS, distribution, cooling
• Repairs to modular UPS systems
• Test and diagnose power quality issues including harmonic distortion
• Provide emergency response standby, call out
• Escalate urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager
• Respond to work interruptions, outages or emergencies
• Maintain critical engineering maintenance documentation & records
• Advise Facilities Management on changes in critical environment requirements
• Undertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments
• Understand and interpret technical drawings / O&M’s
• Ensure completion of all reactive Helpdesk Requests
• Monitor and analyse environmental conditions in data centres
