Balfour Beatty is hiring a Site Engineer OHL – Pre Con / Scaffolds for the BTNO project based at the Assington, Suffolk office. You will collaborate with the Project Manager and team to deliver planning, design, delivery, and handover with rigorous safety and cost discipline.

The role requires experience in safe systems of work, contract awareness, and effective communication across the project. The position aligns with hybrid working arrangements and UK site responsibilities.

Mansioni

• Monitor project progress and implement Short Interval Control processes.
• Ensure milestones reflect the master schedule and customer expectations.
• Coordinate with other project activities and internal functions.
• Attend periodic project reviews and meetings.
• Maintain accurate project records and daily diaries.
• Prepare internal and external reports and liaise with stakeholders.
• Provide information to enable cost-effective decisions within strategy.
• Ensure scope and package assignments support coordinated delivery.
• Translate technical information and drawings into delivery.
• Maintain Zero Harm focus and keep up to date with legislation changes.
• Oversee safety and welfare of public, staff and supply chain.
• Support safety/environment tours and safety initiatives.
• Review and improve H&S management systems.
• Write RAMS and report risks/hazards.
• Escalate issues requiring higher authority and manage subcontractors.
• Support procurement plans to meet deadlines.
• Track targets/KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to workshops on process improvements.
• Develop and update resource-loaded schedules.
• Promote productivity and project controls techniques.
• Be aware of cost, budget and commercial impact.

Formazione

Formal qualification in construction/engineering or equivalent

CSCS and SSSTS or equivalent
