Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an Assistant Project Engineer to support the Lower Thames Crossing. You will work with Project Engineers and Managers to coordinate Temporary Site Services, plan enabling works and ensure delivery aligns with programme and quality standards.

You will gain hands-on experience in engineering coordination, site logistics, risk management and continuous improvement on a major infrastructure project, while developing your project delivery capabilities in a team-focused

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or infra projects.
• Understanding of how site-based works are planned and delivered.
• Strong organizational skills to manage information and priorities.
• Effective communication with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and delivery of Temporary Site Services and enabling works.
• Coordinate site activities with Project Engineer and Project Manager.
• Help manage labour, plant, materials and site logistics to meet programme.
• Maintain project records, progress updates and technical information.
• Support short-term programmes, look-ahead plans and resource needs.
• Monitor progress and report upcoming activities and risks.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support design information coordination and supply-chain activities.
• Assist with site inspections, audits and handover docs.
