Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a Multi Utility Design Engineer to own offsite utility designs and progress development across HV/LV, gas, water and fibre.

You will liaise with network operators, lead post-award scoping meetings, review site constraints and hand projects to onsite teams, with hybrid working and clear progression.

Applicants should have design engineering experience in at least one utility network and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in design engineering within at least one utility network (electric, gas, water, fibre, heat).
• Experience supporting designs for housing / mixed-use developments.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Design of offsite / enabling utility infrastructure for HV/LV / Gas / Water / Fibre.
• Technical liaison with network operators and internal project teams through energisation.
• Customer-facing post-award meetings to define scope (substations/OSCP, metering and plant).
• Site/video/survey review, identifying constraints, trial holes and third-party/permit restrictions.
• Hybrid working available (role dependent), based from the Bury St Edmunds office.
