Job summary

Glacier Energy in Aberdeen, United Kingdom, is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. The role focuses on welding pressure vessels, heat exchangers and pipework, with work in the workshop and offshore/on-site when required.

You will ensure compliance with procedures, traceability and HSE standards across a range of materials. The ideal candidate holds a Level 3 welding and fabrication qualification with experience in MMA, TIG, MIG and SAW, and is comfortable working in heavy fabrication

Qualifications

Time served with Level 3 qualification in welding and fabrication.
Able to weld MMA, TIG, MIG and SAW (preferred all but not all essential).
Several years of welding experience in medium to heavy fabrication.

Responsibilities

Carry out the welding of pressure vessels, heat exchangers and pipework.
Weld different materials including stainless steel, duplex and carbon steel.
Weld to X-Ray, MPI, DPI and UT standards.
Use welding methods such as TIG, MIG, MMA and SAW.
Set up welding plant on different jobs.
Ensure welding logs are completed with welder ID.
Read and adhere to welding procedures and quality procedures.
Follow HSE standards and company procedures.
Undertake general workshop tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
