Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc is seeking a Workshop Assistant for a permanent role in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. The role supports the workshop in maintaining, repairing, and testing containerised offshore systems and equipment, including waste disposal and workshop tidying.

You will work with a team to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in daily activities. Ideal candidates have prior workshop experience or related trade certification.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Good physical condition with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow HSQE policy and procedures.
• Assist with equipment loadouts; adhere to picking lists.
• Assist paint team with fabric maintenance of equipment.
• Keep workshop and yard tidy and follow waste management policy.
• Assist Workshop Manager in organising base layout and structure.
• Pressure-wash equipment and buildings.
• Work safely per Health & Safety Regulations.
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach to customers and colleagues.
