Job summary

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. seeks a skilled Technician to join the team maintaining Robin Rigg offshore wind farm. You will travel by boat, perform proactive and reactive maintenance, service, inspect, modify and retrofit turbines, and use SCADA to diagnose faults and schedule work.

The role requires flexibility for 7 on/7 off shifts and being within 30 minutes of Workington. An experienced technician with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills, capable of working in

Qualifications

Experience in mechanical, electrical, power electronics, and hydraulic troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
Able to troubleshoot complex systems.
Good communication skills, written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively within a small team with minimal supervision.
Sound understanding of HSSE systems to establish a safe work environment.
First Aid at Work/Offshore safety awareness is advantageous.

Responsibilities

To minimise faults and maximise energy yield by carrying out proactive and reactive maintenance operations.
Servicing, inspections, modifications and retrofits.
Using SCADA and other computer systems to investigate turbines, reset faults, and initiate maintenance work.
On-call outside normal hours and may be asked to travel to other sites as support.
