Job summary

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is seeking an Engineer to join the Humber Gateway Offshore Wind Farm maintenance team. The role involves routine and major maintenance, fault finding, and system monitoring using SCADA and SAP.

You will work in a safety-focused environment with on-call duties and travel to other fleet sites as needed. The successful candidate will have an engineering apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with a strong ability to read schematics, troubleshoot complex

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out offshore wind turbine maintenance and balance of plant work.
• Perform servicing, troubleshooting, inspections and component exchanges.
• Use SCADA and SAP to plan, record tasks and fault histories.
• Be on-call and travel to other sites within the fleet as required.
• Contribute to health and safety, procedures, and continuous improvement.

Functional area: Operations & Maintenance

An exciting 12 monthopportunity to join a forward-thinking creative team,operatingand maintaining the Humber Gateway Offshore Wind Farm. Utilising your electrical or mechanical foundation and health and safety focus, you wouldbe responsible forroutine annual maintenance, fault finding, majorcomponentexchanges, and high voltage switching. About the role

• Carry out the maintenance of offshore wind turbines and the associated balance of plant. Including servicing, troubleshooting, reactive and proactive maintenance, periodic inspections, modifications, retrofits, and maincomponentexchanges
• Act early and adjust to changing conditions to limit breakdowns and improve energy production
• Utilise SCADA systems and other computer programmes to interrogate the turbine controller, reset faults, instigate maintenance activities, and build up fault histories
• Have a adjustable approach to working hours around the weather and workload. To be on call outside of normal working hours and be open to travel to other sites within our fleet
• Preparation of work plans, recording of tasks and documentation within SAP
• Assistin all areas of the site operations. Working on improvement projects, repairs,RCA's, and other non-routine works
• Enacta number ofroles under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules; Authorised Technician, Competent Technician
• Candidate to work towards 33Kv SAP authorisation under theRWE operationalsafety rules with training provided
• Positively engage in the development of new and improved work procedures and best practices. This will include assisting with the writing of Operational Procedures, Method Statements, Work Instructions, and Approved Written Procedures
• Identify & take ownership of tasks or projects to improve Health and Safety, Wind Turbine performance, or general working
• Work in a small team with minimal supervision

Job requirements and experience

• Completed an Engineering apprenticeship. Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline
• Have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems and demonstrate a high level of understanding when reading schematic drawings
• Bring a collaborative mindset, offer suggestions for improvement, and support a positive team environment
• A sound understanding of HSSE systems, an ability toestablishand maintain a safe work environment, and an understanding of reporting procedures
• Experienced slinger and banksman
• Willingness to travel in somespecial casesto support other sites within our fleet and for training courses
• Good IT skills including MS Office
• A Full UK Driving Licence
• Good communicationskills, both written and verbal

Shift Pattern: 7 days on and 7 days off (Tuesday to Monday)

Applicants must live within a one-hour drive from the site for operational purposes
