Job summary

Equinor UK Limited is seeking a Control Room Leader to oversee the safe, efficient operation of the Greater Wash offshore wind assets from Great Yarmouth. You will lead a 24/7 team, ensure SCADA monitoring and high‑voltage control are maintained, and drive safety and compliance across operations.

The role requires experience in offshore wind, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to risk management and incident response.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering.
• IOSH/NEBOSH qualification (desirable).
• Experience in offshore wind, power generation, transmission or similar critical infrastructure.
• Thorough knowledge of the UK Grid Code and power system operations.
• Experience leading operational teams in a Control Room or 24/7 environment.
• Strong understanding of operational risk management and safe systems of work.
• Experience delivering HV authorisation training.
• Clear, confident communicator with fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead the offshore wind Control Room operations to ensure safe, compliant, 24/7 performance.
• Coach and develop Control Room personnel; schedule and maintain shift coverage.
• Monitor HV transmission, SCADA and grid interfaces; coordinate with NESO and stakeholders.
• Ensure emergency response plans are current, tested and understood.
• Maintain documentation, procedures and operational records.
• Ensure adherence to Electrical Safety Rules and Control of Work processes.
