Job summary

Equinor UK is seeking a Control Room Leader to oversee the safe and efficient operation of the Greater Wash offshore wind assets from our Great Yarmouth base. You will provide leadership to Control Room personnel, ensuring 24/7 coverage, high-voltage network control, SCADA monitoring and production reporting.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering (or equivalent), strong risk management, and experience leading a 24/7 team.

Qualifications

HNC/HND or degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering.
IOSH/NEBOSH qualification (desirable).
Strong operational experience within offshore wind, power generation, transmission, distribution or similar critical infrastructure.
Thorough working knowledge of the UK Grid Code and power system operations.
Experience leading operational teams in a Control Room or 24/7 environment.
Strong understanding of operational risk management and safe systems of work.
Experience delivering HV authorisation training.
Fluent in English with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and line manage a team of Control Room personnel for 24/7 operations.
Ensure safe, compliant operation of offshore wind assets and HV transmission systems.
Coordinate offshore personnel transfers, vessel operations and production reporting.
Develop and maintain Control Room procedures and records; drive continuous improvement.
Deputise for the direct line manager as required.
