Job summary

Ashtead Technology is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join the Mechanical Solutions team. You will assemble, install and test mechanical equipment in support of offshore project delivery, working closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet deadlines.

The role requires a recognised apprenticeship and hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, reading drawings and using precision tools. Safety and quality are emphasized in a dynamic workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering or trade apprenticeship completed.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and assembly documentation.
• Experience assembling mechanical equipment in a workshop or manufacturing setting.
• Confidence using hand and power tools and measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install and test mechanical equipment safely and to high standard.
• Operate hand and power tools confidently throughout build process.
• Collaborate with Supervisor and team to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
• Identify defects and report quality issues promptly.
