Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician to work on a large fabrication site serving the Offshore industry in the North East. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, participate in improvement projects and ensure safety and legal compliance across the site.

The role requires an apprenticeship or relevant qualification, strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship or qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g. mechanical technician or electrician.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Interpersonal and people-management skills.
  • Able to certify electrical installations in buildings.
  • Able to run cables and test circuits.
  • Team-working skills to liaise with individuals at all levels.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to persuade others.
  • Working at height is mandatory requirement.
  • Willingness to drive forklift (advantage) and training can be provided.
  • Willingness to alternate between day shift and late shift.

Responsibilities

  • Planned maintenance across the site.
  • Reactive maintenance as issues arise.
  • Carry out improvement projects.
  • Perform legal compliance checks / activities.
  • Conduct safety checks / activities.
  • Root cause analysis and problem solving.
  • Keep records of work and handover to other shifts.
  • Assist in creating maintenance plans and activities.
