Job summary

Valaris PLC, a leading offshore energy company, is seeking a skilled Electrician for maintenance across generators, distribution, drives, motors and HVAC on offshore rigs in the United Kingdom.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, maintain accurate records, and prioritize safety-critical systems while coordinating with the Chief Electrician to ensure reliable operations and compliance with PS/QA standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Solid electrical knowledge/skills through a minimum of 4 years' work experience in an industrial or offshore setting, or Certificate of education in lieu of work experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills are required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Completion of all training and certification requirements for electrician as described in the training matrix.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical equipment.
• Maintains a detailed historical record of maintenance and equipment certifications.
• Prioritizes safety- and environment-critical equipment/systems (SECEs).
• Troubleshoots complex electrical systems and facilitates repairs.
• Operates and maintains all electrical test equipment.
• Reviews power diagrams to determine isolation of equipment for maintenance.
• Maintains adequate spares and notifies Chief Electrician of low stock.
• Communicates work status during shift handovers.
