Job summary

Standard Bank Offshore is seeking a Deal team professional to support origination, structuring and execution for Energy and Infrastructure Finance Debt Solutions. You will understand the project finance value proposition, processes and deliver outputs to ensure exceptional client experience.

We require a Post Graduate Degree in Business Commerce and 5-7 years in lending with broad banking exposure. Salary ranges GBP50,000–GBP55,000 with closing date 16 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Business Commerce.
• 5-7 years experience in Lending.
• General banking experience with exposure to the entire retail banking value chain and 5 years of exposure to credit.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first line of defence, ensuring quality control and risk management.
• Originate, fulfil and maintain lending deals for clients, ensuring suitable products and mutually beneficial relationships.
• Support the Business Development Manager to structure effective credit applications for high quality motivations.
• Encourage the credit division to turnaround applications promptly in line with service levels.
• Upskill BDMs through imparting credit knowledge to enable more lending products.

Job Description

To support the Deal team with the delivery of workstreams across origination, structuring and execution for Energy and Infrastructure Finance Debt Solutions by understanding the Project Finance value proposition, processes and ways of work, and performing outputs to the standard necessary to enable the achievement of exceptional client experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

• Post Graduate Degree in Business Commerce

Experience Required :

• 5-7 years experience in Lending
• General banking experience with exposure to the entire retail banking value chain and 5 years of exposure to credit. Clear understanding of lending value proposition and delivery strategy as well as thorough knowledge of the code of banking practice.
