Job summary

Standard Bank Offshore is seeking a dedicated support professional to assist Relationship Managers. You will contribute to credit applications, liaise with risk and credit teams, and address client queries, ensuring a seamless client experience.

You will work with internal departments to provide timely admin support, identify opportunities, and help onboard new clients while adhering to compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Secondary/High school/A levels required.
• 3-4 years experience in Business & Commercial Banking.
• Broad knowledge of the banking industry with exposure to AML, CFT and ABC advantageous.

To provide a first line of support to the Relationship Managers, while ensuring that an exceptional service is delivered at all times producing a favourable client experience and maintaining a high level of integrity and ethical standards, within defined compliance and risk parameters.

Minimum Qualification:

• Secondary/High school/A levels

Experience Required :

• 3-4 years experience in Business & Commercial Banking
• Broad knowledge of the banking industry gained through having worked in a banking environment, knowledge of business and back office operations. Experience in a Compliance, Risk, Know your Customer (KYC) or a New Business role, with exposure to AML (Anti-Money Laundering), CFT (Countering the Financing of Terrorism) and ABC (Anti-Bribery & Corruption) would be a distinct advantage.

Key Outputs :

• Contribute to credit applications and renewals and assist with the credit process including liaising with external parties and the credit risk team.
• Develop a sound understanding of the client’s needs, addressing client’s queries/requests timeously, monitoring their progress to ensure they are resolved/addressed by acting as a liaison between clients and internal departments and providing accurate and timely administrative support to relationship managers, to provide seamless experience to clients, including relationship management of lower value clients as agreed with the Regional Managers.
• Identify possible sales opportunities and generate new business for the company to increase support team income line by contributing to the Right First Time (RFT) target for completing new applications, increasing client uptake of Internet Banking service by promoting ease of use and a timely processing period, and ensure FOREX deals are completed in line with pre-agreed margins.
• Respond to routine client enquiries, queries and requests with speedy and accurate feedback to help maintain positive relationships with clients.
• Work closely with Relationship Managers in the on-boarding of new clients, ensuring adherence to Compliance guidelines, strategy and policy while meeting the expectations of the client and liaise as necessary with the onboarding operations team to ensure a positive client experience.
