Job Title: Senior Offshore Installation Engineer

Location: Greater London, England, United Kingdom

Aventa, on behalf of our client—a leading developer in the offshore renewable energy sector—is seeking a Senior Offshore Installation Engineer to join their Construction Department. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a team of skilled engineers on the Hornsea Four Windfarm Project, contributing to one of the most significant offshore wind developments in the region.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, recommend, and optimize offshore installation, logistics concepts, and installation procedures before and during installation.
• Prepare technical invitation-to-tender documents.
• Collaborate with Package and Contract managers to tender, negotiate, and recommend installation contracts, including MWS.
• Manage offshore installation contractors and MWS, ensuring cross-discipline cooperation within the project team.
• Review and ensure contractor’s method statements and risk assessments are adequate.
• Implement HAZID/HAZOP for installation design and offshore operations.
• Provide progress reports to the Project Manager, highlighting significant technical risks and developing contingency plans.
• Supervise trialing, tool development, vessel setup, and installation campaign initiation offshore.
• Manage Client’s Representatives and QA Daily Progress Reports.
• Create, monitor, and control execution of Design Quality reports and align with Supplier quality inputs.
• Manage product NCRs and review supplier method statements and as-built documentation during the execution phase.

Requirements:

• Experience with offshore installation, preferably with knowledge of Ørsted projects.
• Knowledge of export cable installation, including landfall, load-out, laying, and pulling.
• Understanding of cable protection systems.
