SSE plc is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to underpin offshore wind projects across the UK and Europe. You will develop geotechnical strategies, lead investigations and work with cross‑functional teams to deliver safe, cost‑effective solutions across development, construction and operation stages.

The role emphasizes risk management, technical leadership and continuous improvement within a flexible, distributed work model and multiple site locations.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered status or active progression towards professional accreditation.
• Experience in offshore ground investigations, laboratory testing, geotechnical interpretation and foundation design.

Aufgaben

• Develop and deliver geotechnical strategies for offshore wind projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Plan, coordinate and execute geotechnical activities including ground investigations, lab tests, modelling and cable installation assessments.
• Collaborate with project, engineering and procurement teams to scope, specify and manage consultants and contractors for technical excellence and value.
• Review third‑party studies and designs including desk studies, driveability assessments and geohazard evaluations.
• Support DEVEX, CAPEX and OPEX planning while ensuring health, safety, environmental and sustainability compliance.
