Job summary

SBM Offshore N.V. in the United Kingdom seeks an Engine Room Supervisor or Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Superintendent on MPF Units to lead engine room operations and maintenance activities.

The role requires delegation, safety leadership, and effective supervision of offshore crews, subcontractors, and visitors. The candidate will prepare systems for start-up, monitor operations, and manage shutdowns, while driving training and competency across the department in line with company

Qualifications

• EOOW STCW Reg AIII/1 is required for the role.
• At least 1 year as Watch keeping Marine Engineer; steam turbine watch keeping preferred.
• VLCC experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in English at CEFR A2 or higher.
• Medical fitness in line with company offshore health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engine Room Equipment and Systems and Utilities Operation and Maintenance.
• Prepare Engine Room or AMS and Utility Systems for start-up.
• Start and Monitor Engine Room or AMS and Utility Systems.
• Prepare and Shutdown Engine Room or AMS and Utility Systems.
• Isolate and reinstate Engine Room or AMS and Utility Systems for Maintenance.
• Promote training and competency assurance throughout the department in line with company goals.
