Job summary

Tradebe Environmental Services in Newport, Wales, is seeking an Offloading Supervising Chemist to oversee tanker offloading at the GWMC Treatment Plant and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards. You will lead a small team of plant operators under the Shift Manager and strive for efficient plant performance to deliver high-quality customer service.

The role requires an HNC or higher in Chemistry, reliability, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• HNC or higher level qualification in Chemistry (or closely aligned subject).
• Reliability and dependability essential.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.
• Computer literacy expected and essential for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the offloading of tankers as directed by the Shift Manager.
• Assist the Shift Manager in processing containerised waste.
• Direct traffic in the Treatment Plant and supervise drivers.
• Maintain high health and safety standards and compliance with procedures.
• Assist operatives and maintain housekeeping to a high standard.
• Support the Shift Manager in monitoring productivity and lab work.
