Tech Talent House LTD in Plymouth is seeking an organised events logistics coordinator to work with founders and on-site team leaders, coordinating crew availability, bookings, rotas and shift schedules across multiple events. You will respond to last-minute changes, track start times, locations, hours and pay, liaise with promoters, venues and suppliers, and support basic bookkeeping using Xero.
A proactive, detail-oriented approach and strong Excel skills will help you thrive in a fast-paced
Working closely with the founders and on-site team leaders, you'll coordinate crew availability, staffing arrangements and practical logistics across multiple events.
The team leaders manage the crew on site. You'll keep everything connected from the office, making sure changes are communicated, information is followed up and hours and pay rates are accurate.
This is a great opportunity for someone to bring fresh ideas, take ownership and make the role their own.
You’ll enjoy getting stuck in, thinking on your feet and adapting when plans change. Live events bring last-minute requests, staffing changes and shifting priorities, so you'll need to pivot quickly while keeping track of the detail.
You’ll be proactive and resourceful, comfortable picking things up as you go, learning through observation and asking questions. When you don't know something, you'll seek out the answer and follow it through.
Just as importantly, you'll be warm, approachable and respectful of the crew who make these events happen. You'll know how to chase information firmly but tactfully, maintaining good relationships while getting what you need.
This could particularly suit a high street Recruitment Consultant, Temps Consultant or Recruitment Coordinator who enjoys the operational side of staffing.
Experience coordinating temporary workers in industrial, hospitality, commercial or events recruitment would transfer well. We also welcome backgrounds in workforce scheduling, hospitality operations, events coordination, logistics and busy office management.
Basic bookkeeping experience would be advantageous, but is not essential. Familiarity with Xero or staffing software such as Parim would also be useful, but is by no means essential.
Previous festival or live events experience isn't essential. Your transferable skills, attitude and willingness to learn matter more than an exact previous job title.
You’ll be based in Plymouth, with Mondays and Fridays essential office days. There's flexibility on the other days, with scope for hybrid working. More office time may be helpful initially while you get to know the team and learn the business.
A driving licence would be useful for occasional site visits, practical trips or deliveries.
Occasional evening or weekend support may be needed during peak periods, with flexibility to take time back.
June and July are particularly busy, so holidays are ideally taken outside these months. Some exceptions may be possible depending on cover. Please flag any existing summer commitments during the recruitment process.
A January start is planned, with the opportunity to visit the office beforehand and meet the team.
Plymouth | Scope for hybrid working Salary dependent on experience + profit-share bonus Permanent, full-time | Monday to Friday, usual hours 8am-4pm
If you enjoy organising people, adapting to changing plans and seeing things through, we'd love to hear from you.
