Office Management | Events | Operations | PA Support | Career Progression

Are you an exceptional organiser, a natural problem-solver and someone who loves making things happen?

Do you thrive in an environment where no two days are the same, where your ideas are genuinely valued and where you can make a real difference to a business?

We are delighted to be recruiting for an exciting and varied Office Manager & Operations Executive opportunity within a highly successful, profitable and ambitious international executive search business.

You’ll be joining a close-knit team of 13 talented professionals, with exciting growth plans, a fantastic social culture and an international presence.

The business is entering an exciting new chapter, with plans to expand its team, potentially move into larger offices and further develop its internal operations.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to become an integral part of the company’s future, with genuine long-term potential to develop into a senior operational leadership role, potentially even Chief Operating Officer.

The Role

You’ll be the person who keeps everything running seamlessly behind the scenes.

From managing the office and organising incredible company events to improving internal processes and supporting the Managing Director, you’ll have real ownership, autonomy and the freedom to make the role your own.

This is a position for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative and loves being the person everyone can rely on.

Office Management – Approximately 50%

You’ll take complete ownership of the day-to-day running of the office, ensuring it remains an organised, welcoming and enjoyable place to work.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Managing relationships with landlords, building management, IT providers, cleaners, maintenance contractors and other suppliers.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all office-related matters.
  • Overseeing office maintenance, facilities and general troubleshooting.
  • Managing supplies, refreshments, equipment and office purchases.
  • Creating an inspiring working environment, from office décor and plants to those thoughtful finishing touches.
  • Organising birthday celebrations, gifts and other team initiatives.
  • Introducing smarter systems and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Potentially supporting an exciting office relocation as the business expands.

You’ll have the freedom to take ownership, make improvements and put your own stamp on the workplace.

Events, Travel & Experiences – Approximately 15%

The business has a fantastic culture and genuinely believes in rewarding its people, celebrating success and creating memorable experiences.

You’ll be responsible for planning and organising:

  • 6–8 company social events each year, from Flight Club and dinners to race days, track experiences and other exciting activities.
  • An annual international company holiday.
  • International business travel, including trips to destinations such as New York and Dubai.
  • Flights, hotels and travel arrangements for directors and senior colleagues.
  • Occasional client entertainment and corporate events.
  • Event budgets, suppliers, venues and logistics.

You’ll have the opportunity to get creative, introduce fresh ideas and organise experiences that the team genuinely looks forward to.

Operations & Business Support – Approximately 30%

As the business grows, so will the opportunities for you to get involved in broader operational projects.

Your responsibilities could include:

  • Managing holiday, absence and out-of-office calendars.
  • Developing and implementing new internal systems and processes.
  • Supporting the introduction of more structured HR processes as the company expands.
  • Coordinating meetings with suppliers and external partners.
  • Liaising with the accounts team and assisting with administrative processes.
  • Potentially getting involved in foreign exchange transactions and broker relationships.
  • Taking ownership of ad hoc business projects and operational improvements.

There will also be a small element of PA support to the Managing Director, helping to streamline personal and business administration.

This is an evolving position, and you’ll have the chance to develop new skills and take on additional responsibilities as the business continues to grow.

Who Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for someone who is personable, switched-on, proactive, resourceful and exceptionally organised.

Someone who sees a problem and finds a solution. Someone who doesn’t need to be asked twice. Someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and takes pride in creating an environment where everything just works.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous office management, operations, executive support or similar experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach and natural problem‑solving skills.
  • Confidence dealing with suppliers, contractors and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience organising events, travel or company activities.
