Job summary

Wolviston Management Services is recruiting a reliable Facilities Maintenance Operative to support its Darlington offices. This hands-on role focuses on keeping the building safe, tidy and functioning, with 24 hours per week on a part-time, fixed-term basis.

You will carry out general maintenance, minor repairs, painting and decorating, basic handyman tasks, and PAT testing where trained. The ideal candidate works independently, is practical with tools, and takes pride in a well-maintained

Qualifications

• Experience in general building maintenance or handyman work.
• Confident using hand tools and performing basic repairs.
• Practical painting and decorating skills.
• Experience of PAT testing, or willing to train.
• Capable of working independently and managing workload.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general building maintenance and minor repairs.
• Paint, decorate and touch up office areas.
• Undertake basic handyman tasks, including fittings repairs.
• Carry out PAT testing, where trained.
• Identify and report maintenance issues requiring specialist contractors.
• Support general office and facilities upkeep.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a good standard.
