Job summary

Delkia is seeking an Office / Facilities Co-ordinator to keep the Haydock, St Helens office running smoothly, safely and efficiently. You’ll support facilities management and general office coordination to create a well-organised workspace for staff and visitors.

You’ll work with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain high standards, coordinate services, onboarding and health & safety checks, with a 4-day option and a 36-hour week.

Location: Haydock, St Helens (4 days per week in the office)

Job type: Permanent

Contracted hours: Full time – 36hrs per week (we offer an option to condense full-time hours into 4 days Monday – Thursday)

About The Role

Overview of the role

This role is a key part of our day-to-day office operations, ensuring the workplace runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. The Office / Facilities Co-ordinator will be responsible for supporting both facilities management and general office coordination activities, helping to create a well‑organised and professional working environment for employees and visitors.

You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the office environment is maintained to a high standard, with responsibility spanning facilities support, coordination of services, and general workplace administration.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Oversee all aspects of office operations, including facilities management, supplies, and general administration to ensure smooth running of the workplace.
  • Maintain company documentation, correspondence, and filing systems, both digital and physical.
  • Coordinate meeting rooms, events, and hospitality arrangements for internal and external visitors.
  • Support on‑site onboarding and induction activities for new starters.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for facilities-related queries, contractors, and service providers.
  • Supporting health & safety compliance within the office environment, including reporting and basic checks.
  • Managing office supplies, equipment, and general stock levels, ensuring availability when needed.
  • Assisting with workplace organisation, including meeting room setup, space coordination, and general office presentation.
  • Supporting administrative tasks linked to facilities, maintenance schedules, and supplier coordination.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Can Demonstrate
  • Previous experience in an office management or senior administrative role, ideally within a professional services, engineering, or technical environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and confidence working with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
  • A practical understanding of health and safety requirements within an office environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting wider team needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
  • Financial awareness, with experience supporting procurement and/or finance administration desirable.
Nice to have
  • Experience supporting facilities management in a multi‑site or larger organisation.
  • Familiarity with contractor management or supplier coordination.
  • Experience using workplace or facilities management systems.
  • First aid, health & safety qualifications or Fire Marshal training (or willingness to undertake training).
