Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (North Wales) is seeking an Administrative Officer to provide a professional, efficient booking service for the Department. You will obtain case notes, organise clinic letters and support the team to meet local and national Access targets.

You should have office experience, be able to communicate clearly, respect patient confidentiality, and be able to work under pressure in a busy environment. Welsh language ability is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Good general education and NVQ 2 or equivalent.
  • Experience in an office role with customer service.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection Act.
  • Awareness of patient confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with WPAS/hospital admin systems is desirable.
  • Experience with hospital records or clerical tasks is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain case notes for the Department from various locations on Glan Clwyd’s site.
  • Organise clinic letters and distribute them to relevant GP surgeries.
  • Provide a patient-focused booking service aligned with local and national Access targets.
  • Support team members to deliver the Access targets and maintain service quality.

Job description

Job Overview

Working in a highly pressurised environment to provide a professional, efficient and effective administrative service for the Department. Using initiative in sometimes complex situations to ensure that patients are booked in line with local and national Access targets. Work as part of a team, supporting other team members to deliver the Access targets and a patient focused booking service.

Main duties of the job
  • To obtain case notes for the Department on a timely basis from various locations on Glan Clwyd’s site, including the Medical Record’s Department.
  • Organise clinic letters and distribute them to relevant GP surgeries.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Experience
