Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking an Office Clerk to work in the Endoscopy Team on a permanent basis.

The post holder will be highly organised, flexible to service needs, and capable of handling a 7-day service while developing administration skills across customer service and electronic record keeping.

Qualifications

  • Good standard of education or equivalent experience.

  • Basic knowledge of principles of confidentiality.
  • Welsh Speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential support service in continuing care of patients, ensuring casenotes are at the right place at the right time.
  • Deliver a professional and efficient reception service within the Endoscopy Unit.
  • Ensure service users are aware of tracking the patient record to its correct location.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board as an Office Clerk on a permanent basis within the Endoscopy Team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly organised, flexible to service needs as we are running a 7 day service and will develop a wide range of skills in several areas of administration including customer service, time management and electronic record keeping.

Main duties of the job

The Endoscopy Support Clerk will be responsible for providing an essential support service in the continuing care of patients, ensuring that the casenotes are at the right place at the right time. The post holder will cross cover in all aspects of the role including the pulling, filing, preparation, amalgamation and secure transportation/delivery of the casenotes for the purpose of preparing Endoscopy Lists. Providing a professional and efficient reception service within the Endoscopy Unit, ensuring that all patients and visitors are welcomed to the department in an appropriate manner. Ensuring that all service users are aware of the importance of tracking the patient record to its correct location.

Qualifications
  • Good standard of education or equivalent experience

  • NVQ or equivalent qualification experience
  • Knowledge of NHS Records Management legislation
Experience
  • Experience of working with Microsoft packages
  • Experience within an office or reception environment involving customer service

  • Previous Administrative and Customer Service experience
  • Working with filing procedures
