Job summary

The Hangar at Watergate Bay Hotel is seeking an independent, lively Office Cleaner to help maintain a welcoming, clean workspace for our Central team. The role starts on a zero-hour basis with an average of 9 hours per week and evening shifts from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with some flexibility as duties settle into three days per week.

You’ll be responsible for keeping offices, toilets and communal areas spotless, with weekly plant care and the opportunity to work autonomously during the winter

Qualifications

• Independent, lively, and attentive Office Cleaner to join our Central team at The Hangar.
• Zero-hour contract with an average commitment of 9 hours per week.
• Role initially Monday to Friday to cover maternity leave, then three days per week.
• Hours are 5:00-8:00 p.m. with some flexibility; fixed days after transition.
• Comfort working independently, especially in winter when location is isolated.

Our Office Cleaner role:

We're looking for an independent, lively, and attentive Office Cleaner to join our welcoming Central team at The Hangar. You'll be working on a zero-hour contract, with an average commitment of 9 hours per week.

Initially, the role will be Monday to Friday to cover maternity leave, before reducing to three days per week. The working hours are 5:00-8:00 p.m., with some flexibility around the hours, although the working days will be fixed once the role transitions to three days per week.

You’ll take real satisfaction in creating welcoming spaces, and be part of a supportive, dedicated team that values high standards and exceptional service, working together to make a positive difference behind the scenes.

Ideally, you'll have experience cleaning a large office building and be confident managing your workload effectively within a three-hour timeframe. You should also be comfortable working independently, particularly during the winter months when the location can feel quite isolated.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Keeping our offices, toilets, and communal spaces spotless by sticking to daily and weekly cleaning routines by hoovering, mopping, wiping surfaces, and keeping dishwashers in check.
• Showing some love to our office plants with weekly watering duties.

What you’ll be sharing with us:

• Demonstrating a sharp eye for detail, spotting the details that others miss.
• Taking a proactive approach and managing your tasks independently.The holder of a valid driving licence, with access to your own transport.
• Using your excellent time management to keep everything running smoothly.
