Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Cleaning Operative at Millsike Prison, YO41 1PS. Hours are 8:30am–4:30pm (40 hours weekly). You will maintain cleanliness, stock rooms, and follow COSHH and health and safety guidelines to support a secure, well‑run environment.

Full training provided. The role offers the chance to work within Mitie Care & Custody, with benefits and opportunities for personal development in a challenging setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness in the establishment by carrying out cleaning tasks to a high standard.

• Conducting disinfection and deep cleaning when required.
• Reporting any incidents, defects, or dangers to the supervisor promptly.

ROLE: Cleaning Operative

HOURS: 8:30am – 4:30pm (40 Hours in a week)

LOCATION: Millsike Prison, YO41 1PS
