Network Rail is seeking an experienced Technician [Off Track] to support maintenance across the West Midlands region. You will join an outdoor team delivering essential off-track work, including vegetation management, drainage and boundary upkeep, while ensuring safety and high standards.

The role requires practical leadership, willingness to deputise for Team Leader, and adherence to safe systems of work in all weather conditions.

Competenze

• Experience of arranging and implementing safe systems of work.
• Ability to lead, motivate and direct a team.
• Knowledge of permanent way inspection, faulting, maintenance and renewal techniques.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Hold and retain appropriate driving competencies and full driving licence.

Mansioni

• Carry out wide range of Off-Track activities including vegetation management (tree work, hedge cutting) and use of on-track plant.
• Maintain drainage systems, fencing, and boundaries; respond to emergencies.
• Work outdoors in all weather, day or night, with rosters provided in advance.
• Potential deputising for Team Leader to gain leadership experience.
• Ensure safety as priority and work to safe systems of work.
