Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Platform Architect / Health Check Lead

Location: UK (Remote/Hybrid)

Contract: Inside IR35

We are supporting a leading global technology consultancy in the search for an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Platform Architect to lead a strategic platform health check for a major enterprise organisation. This is a high‑impact advisory engagement where you will assess the health, security, resilience and performance of an established OCI environment, working closely with technical and business stakeholders to identify risks, optimisation opportunities and future improvements. This role is ideal for an experienced cloud architect who enjoys analysing complex environments, providing strategic recommendations and influencing technology roadmaps without being responsible for hands‑on remediation. The role: You will lead a comprehensive architectural review of a large-scale Oracle Cloud Infrastructure platform, evaluating its current state against OCI best practices and producing a structured set of recommendations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting a full OCI platform health check
• Reviewing infrastructure architecture and cloud design
• Assessing security architecture, identity and access management, and network segmentation
• Evaluating platform resilience, high availability and disaster recovery capabilities
• Analysing performance, scalability and cost optimisation opportunities
• Reviewing compute, storage, networking and backup strategies
• Engaging with infrastructure, security and application teams through technical workshops and stakeholder interviews
• Identifying architectural gaps, security risks and operational inefficiencies
• Producing a comprehensive health check report with prioritised recommendations
• Categorising improvements into quick wins, medium-term enhancements and longer-term strategic initiatives
• Providing pragmatic, business‑focused advice aligned to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure best practices

About You

You bring a strong blend of technical expertise and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar environments and provide clear, actionable recommendations.

You’ll ideally have:

• Extensive experience designing and architecting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments
• Proven experience delivering OCI platform assessments, architecture reviews or health checks
• Strong knowledge of OCI networking, security, identity management and cloud architecture
• Experience with high availability, resilience and disaster recovery strategies
• A solid understanding of cloud optimisation and cost management
• Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage senior technical and business stakeholders
• A collaborative, advisory‑led approach with the ability to challenge constructively
