Job summary

Red Snapper Recruitment Limited is recruiting for an OCGM & Police GENGA Coordinator to support Organised Crime Group Mapping and the GENGA partnership network in Blackburn. You will help tackle serious crime by coordinating cross‑agency activity and analysing sensitive information within a public‑sector setting.

• Coordinate the PAM IT platform to support 4P plans.

About the Role

Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for an OCGM & Police GENGA Coordinator to support the management of Organised Crime Group Mapping (OCGM) and the GENGA partnership network.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting a 4P approach - Prevent, Protect, Pursue and Prepare - to tackling serious and organised crime, working closely with police teams and partner agencies across Lancashire.

This is a role suited to someone with experience of policing, intelligence, organised crime, partnership working or a similar public‑sector environment, who is confident working with sensitive information, analysing data and coordinating activity across multiple agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the OCGM process for the relevant BCU, ensuring information is accurate, current and appropriately recorded.


• Collate and integrate information from internal teams and external partner organisations to maintain an accurate picture of organised crime threats.


• Review OCG databases to ensure consistency, impartiality and accurate assessment of the harm posed by organised crime groups.


• Support tasking processes by providing updates on key threats and identifying opportunities for partnership disruption.


• Assist with the creation and delivery of 4P management reports and action plans.


• Act as a local point of contact for GENGA referrals and support referrals from partner organisations.


• Organise and support local multi‑agency GENGA meetings, including agenda planning, reports and briefings.


• Maintain effective relationships with partner agencies and support collaborative problem solving.


• Identify and develop effective communication channels between key partners to maximise the use of intelligence.


• Coordinate the PAM IT platform to support effective 4P management plans and partnership referral pathways.


• Support activity arising from local serious and organised crime profiles and action plans.


• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of available intelligence assets and opportunities for joint or multi‑agency responses.


• Support the OCGM & Police GENGA Lead in maintaining a consistent approach to OCGM and partnership working.


• Assist frontline staff, departments and Lead Responsible Officers with engaging with the GENGA process.


• Maintain directories of partner organisations, agencies, tools and powers.


• Work alongside civil enforcement teams to ensure appropriate consideration is given to civil orders against OCG and GENGA disruption targets.


• Produce accurate written information, reports and management information.


• Undertake other duties consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the role.

Essential Experience

• Working with intelligence and/or organised crime information.


• Applying relevant legislation, policies and procedures relating to organised crime and intelligence.


• Using police databases or other intelligence systems to research, record and retrieve information.


• Interrogating computer systems and producing reports and management information.


• Working with a range of internal departments and external partner agencies.


• Providing advice and guidance to colleagues or managers on policies and procedures.


• Partnership working, particularly where the objective is to protect communities or reduce risk.


• Communicating effectively with a wide range of people, both individually and in groups.


• Producing accurate written information with a high level of attention to detail.


• Working independently, investigating problems and identifying appropriate solutions.


• Handling confidential and sensitive information with tact and discretion.


• Using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience of working within policing, law enforcement, intelligence, serious and organised crime or another relevant public‑sector environment would also be advantageous.
