Job Description:

Our well-known client is seeking an Ocean Freight Cross Trade Specialist to join their team.

Must have Ocean Freight experience in Export and Cross Trade. This role involves a dual working location in Purfleet and Luton.

• Learn all customer processes as part of the operations team and support colleagues as required.
• Provide high-level service for primarily OFR (but also other modes when required) customers and develop skills related to worldwide event logistics.
• Drive personal performance and positively challenge others to achieve KPIs.
• Participate in reviews with the team to identify improvement areas, review KPIs, and enhance overall service quality.
• Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and other teams to ensure smooth customer process flow.
• Prioritize work tasks and communicate with team leaders or supervisors when assistance, process improvements, or workload support is needed.
• Engage in personal development and coaching, proactively seeking feedback and training needs from line managers.
• Serve as the primary contact for at least one of the top customers and support colleagues within the department.
• Implement people processes consistently to ensure excellent service delivery, customer retention, profitability, and adherence to KPIs and metrics.
• Respond promptly and professionally to all internal and external inquiries.
• Escalate issues when necessary.
• Ensure all team interactions comply with Codes of Conduct and other compliance standards, such as anti-corruption policies.
