Job summary

Davies Turner PLC is seeking an Ocean Exports Co-ordinator in Manchester. You will provide shipping, transport and forwarding expertise, build customer relationships and promote Davies Turner services. You will handle quotations, bookings and ensure customer needs are met with accurate service information.

The role requires handling sea shipments, liaising with customs, and supporting Sales to secure new business, with a focus on accuracy and professional customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Previous office admin experience beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to prioritise and adapt to change.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide service information, quotations, take bookings and champion customer needs.
• Offer a high standard of customer service to internal and external customers with accurate information.
• Handle shipments by sea forwarding and manage credit risk per company policy.
• Receive enquiries and gather information to ensure accurate bookings.
• Process shipment information promptly to avoid delays.
• Engage with customers and provide quotations; follow up to secure business.
• Liaise with customs staff to ensure smooth import/export clearance.
