Job summary

NCIC is seeking an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor for a 20 hour per week post at Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. The role supports the Occupational Therapy team, supervising patients and contributing to treatment plans within a busy acute hospital setting.

The successful candidate will join a strong OT network with CPD and supervision opportunities, and must meet the essential criteria including a care certificate or willingness to undertake it.

Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor 20 hours per week.

We are looking for a friendly and motivated individual to join our Occupational Therapy team at the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle as an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor.

Main duties of the job

The Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor will assist the Occupational Therapist to carry out delegated duties, within the acute team, based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.

They will supervise and instruct the patients in activities relating to their treatment programme and regularly feedback to the Occupational Therapist.

The service is part of a strong Occupational Therapy network, with links to the team at the West Cumberland Hospital, as well as the wider health and social care settings across North Cumbria. This provides many professional development opportunities and there is a strong focus on CPD within the team. You will have access to high quality, regular clinical supervision, and we offer an excellent induction, ongoing professional support and a highly rewarding job to the successful applicant.
