Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking a Team Manager (Occupational Therapy) to lead an integrated adult health and social care OT service. The role focuses on safeguarding, performance management, and service improvement across North/South area teams and major adaptations.

The post requires HCPC registration, a degree in OT, and substantial experience in statutory adult social care with knowledge of the Care Act 2014. Enhanced disclosure and flexible/agile working are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Current HCPC registration is required.
• Significant experience in statutory Adult Social Care is required.
• Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and related guidance is essential.
• Experience working with adults with complex care needs is required.

Responsibilities

• Operationally manage and be accountable for an integrated, multi-disciplinary community health and social care service for adults.
• Manage all aspects of the service area including budget and performance management.
• Provide leadership, oversight and quality assurance for complex high-risk cases including safeguarding inquiries.
• Contribute to demand management programmes and facilitate early discharge.
• Ensure a proportionate and strength-based approach to assessments.
