Job description

Occupational Therapy focusses on engaging our young people in activity that will contribute towards wellness and recovery. We are seeking people with experience of instilling Connection, Hope, Identity, Meaning, Purpose and Empowerment in our young people through 1:1 or group activities.

Occupational Therapy support workers ,work under the supervision of our advanced and specialist Occupational Therapy team to use their personal skills and personality for therapeutic benefit.

When asking our young people what they wanted from an OT service they told us they wanted to be supported by someone with;

The Occupational Therapy Support Worker is a valued member of the multi disciplinary team. They take a hands-on role with individuals or groups of clients. Their job is to equip clients to take part in everyday activities and live more satisfying lives.

The post holder will contribute to the Occupational Therapy team and the wider Core Multidisciplinary Team at Parkview clinic. They will assist with the following specified duties and take some responsibility for their own workload within a broad framework laid down by a qualified Occupational Therapist. Intervention with children, young adults and their families will be under the guidance of more senior staff and will be of the highest possible standard.
