Job summary

West Sussex County Council is recruiting a Professional Practice Development Worker to provide professional learning and development for occupational therapy staff across Adult Social Care. You will support students, apprentices, newly qualified and experienced practitioners, identifying learning needs and contributing to service improvement.

Qualifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration and current practice status.
• Proven track record as a practice educator and mentor.
• Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Experience delivering learning or people-focused services, including needs assessment and evaluation.
• Knowledge of health and social care legislation and policy context.
• Evidence of discreet project work to improve service design and processes.
• Proficient IT skills to produce reports and analyse data.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional learning and development support to staff across Adult Social Care.
• Support occupational therapy students, apprentices, newly qualified and experienced staff.
• Identify learning needs and contribute to service improvement and innovative training.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to promote best practice and workforce development priorities.
• Contribute to the Teaching Partnership with Higher Educational Institutes.
