Job summary

Nocturnal Recruitment Solutions Ltd is recruiting Occupational Therapists to join an Adult Social Care service in Greater London. The role covers assessments, care planning and working with families, carers and other professionals to maximise independence and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will carry out person-centred OT assessments, develop interventions and work within a multidisciplinary team to meet complex needs.

Qualifications

• Degree, Diploma or Apprenticeship in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Experience working within an Occupational Therapy setting.
• Experience completing OT assessments and developing interventions.
• Knowledge of moving and handling techniques, equipment and adaptations.
• Experience working with adults with physical health needs and disabilities.
• Experience working with dementia, mental health needs and/or learning disabilities.
• Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong communication, organisation and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments, including Activities of Daily Living, cognition, perception and risk assessments.
• Develop appropriate care, treatment and intervention plans with service users, families and carers.
• Assess and recommend equipment, adaptations and moving and handling solutions to promote independence and safety.
• Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
• Work closely with health, social care, housing and other professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Complete reports, care plans and recommendations accurately and within required timescales.
• Manage an allocated caseload and work effectively with individuals with complex needs.
• Provide advice, guidance and support to service users and carers.

We are currently recruiting for Occupational Therapists, from newly qualified through to Advanced Practitioner level, to join an Adult Social Care service supporting adults with physical, sensory, psychological and cognitive needs to maximise their independence, health and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will carry out person-centred Occupational Therapy assessments, develop appropriate interventions and work closely with individuals, families, carers and wider professionals to identify and meet care and support needs.
