Job summary

Associate Practitioner, Occupational Therapy (maternity cover) in Witham, NHS Band 4, undertakes targeted therapeutic tasks with service users under supervision. You will contribute to a culture of meaningful occupation and maintain clinical records, while liaising with carers and professionals across the care team.

Responsibilities

To work individually with service users on specific tasks and therapeutic activity guided by the Therapist.
To promote engagement in meaningful occupation within the service to enhance quality of life.
To provide interventions in line with Trust standards and values.
To provide feedback to the team on observations during sessions to aid assessment and interventions.
To maintain clinical records using the electronic patient record system.
To liaise with carers and other professionals as relevant.
To exercise good personal time management, punctuality and reliable attendance.
To attend mandatory training.
To undertake activities to meet training objectives identified with your supervisor.
To keep a record of training and development activities.
To plan and facilitate occupationally based groups guided by a Clinician as opportunity arises.
